TOURNAMENT RULES
1. All games will be played under USA hockey rules. All players must be recocognized
by USA hockey. The use of any illegal or unauthorized played will result in immediate expulsion from the
tournament and the loss of all fees paid. Teams must sign in on teams sheet before their first game.
2. Before playing first game, all teams must present their USA Hockey Roster to tournament registrar for
final approval, noting any changes since the application was submitted.
3. Teams must be present no later than 1/2 hour before your scheduled game time.
4. Only players and a maximum of 4 team officials will be permitted at the players bench.
a. Every team must supply its own person to work their Penalty Box
5. Car keys are required for dressing room keys. The locker room should be kept clean
at all times. Your team is responsible for picking up after itself after use.After rink
officials inspect your locker car keys will be returned to your team official. If damage
to the dressing room occurs, teams will be responsible for full payment of damage
before leaving the rink facility.
6.Time periods will be as followed:
A. Mites- 3 periods of 12 minutes each With Stoppage of play every 2:00 minutes for
line changes
B. Squirts - 3 periods of 12 minutes each
C. Pee-Wee- 3 periods of 12:00 minutes each
D. Bantam & Midget- 3 periods of 15 Min. each
7. Round Robin Play Standings will be based on total points with 2 points for a win,
1 point point for each period won, 1/2 point for each period tied. Teams with highest
points will play in the Championship game. i n the case of a team forfeit , a win will
be given to the opposing team and a score of 1 or 0 will be entered on scoreboard.
Ties will broken as follows :
A. Head to Head
B. Goals for minus goals against
C. Total goals for ( all games) Total goals cannot exceed 10 per game.
D. Total goals against, all game winners determined by fewest goals
E. Least penalty minutes (Major and Minor only) Misconducts do not apply

6 TEAM TOURNAMENT BRACKET- PLAY AS FOLLOWS.......
TEAMS ARE DIVIDED INTO TWO DIVISIONS OF THREE TEAMS EACH.
ROUND ROBIN PLAY WITHIN EACH DIVISION.
CROSS OVER GAMES WILL CONSIST OF THE WINNER OF DIVISION A
PLAYING 2ND PLACE OF DIVISION B.
2ND PLACE OF DIVISION A WILL PLAY 1ST PLACE IN DIVISION B.
WINNER OF THESE GAMES WILL PLAY IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.
3RD PLACE FINISHES IN EACH DIVISION PLAY IN THE CONSOLATION
GAME.
8 TEAM TOURNAMENT BRACKET- PLAY AS FOLLOWS......
ALL TEAMS PLAY FIRST GAME WITH WINNERS ADVANCING TO
A DIVISION , LOSERS GO INTO B DIVISION.
STRAIGHT PLAYOFF WITH ELIMINATION- NO POINTS ARE AWARDED
IN PERIODS. WIN OR LOSE , IN THE EVENT OF A TIE , THERE WILL BE
A 5:00 MINUTE SUDDEN DEATH ( FIRST GOAL IN OVERTIME WINS GAME)
IF THERE IS STILL A TIE AFTER 5:00 MINUTES , GAME GOES TO A SHOOT
OUT .
1. Each team will designate five players to participate who will take shots.
The team scoring the most goals in the shootout round of the 5 shots will
be rewarded the win.
2. If after 5 players from both teams have completed the procedure the tie still IS
not broken each team will use the same 5 players to participate in an additional
shootout round. If after that round and still no goal , the first unmatched goal wins.
3. The home team gets the option of shooting first or last.
8. In the event a team obtains a five goal lead during the 3rd period , running time will apply
Once running time is initiated it shall remain running time.until end of game.
9. Minor penalties shall be 1:30 sec (Bantam & midgets will be 2 min) major penalties- 5 minutes
and misconduct penalties-10 minutes.
10. Penalties:
A. A game misconduct will result in the suspention of that playerfor the remainder of that
game and the following game.
B. Any Player that gets 5 or more penalties in a game will result in the suspention of that
game and following game.
C. Any coach whos team incurs 15 or more penalties in one game will result in the
suspension in the following game. The coach may watch the game from the stands
but may not communicate with the team in any manner. Failure to abide by these
will result in the explusion of the coach from the tournament and rink facility.
D. Games involving Gross or a Match penalty will result in an immediate suspension and
explulsion of that person from the tournament.
11. Any penalty for fighting or gross or match penalty given will result in automatic
suspension from the remainder of the tournament Any team official recieving a gross
penalty will be automatically suspended from the remainder of the touranment.
12. Only Championship games will go into overtime.
A. There will be a one five-minute " Sudden Death Overtime " period.
B. Teams do not switch ends. The ice is not resurfaced.
C. If the game does not end in overtime period with a goal , a shootout will be
used as follows:
1. Each team will designate five players to participate who will take shots.

13. THE RULES COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY ANY RULE HERE IN
WHICH IS DEEMED IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE TOURNAMENT OR AMATEUR
HOCKEY.THE DECISION OF THE RULES COMMITEE IS FINAL.
